How this works

Initial interview

After the registration process is completed, each TAY will have a opportunity to schedule an online interview. This interaction helps us to better understand the individual situation of each TAY. This helps us convey the program's value, identify obstacles, and confirm mutual interest.

Case Plan

The applicant will work closely with a transitional coach to identify potential sponsors who could support their journey. After this initial step, they will proceed to obtain a passport and begin working diligently toward acquiring essential language skills and other relevant competencies. This preparation will lay the foundation for their pairing with an abroad program and an apprenticeship opportunity that will help further enhance their experience and development.

Abroad

Once TAY joins and is matched with a host overseas, they will take 10 hours of language courses each week. Participants will also begin an apprenticeship for a skill they selected during their intake. Learning another language and building trade skills will help participants gain valuable abilities to thrive anywhere in the world.

Return participant

Transitional Age Youth (TAY) returning from abroad will still receive help from their Transition coach. They can decide if they want to access job resources or connect with options for higher education.
